Designed with a dual-spring auto-reset system, the Impulse Impact Tamper provides a smooth, powerful compression while automatically resetting after each use, helping create a more efficient and repeatable espresso workflow.
Consistent tamping is one of the most important steps in espresso preparation because it creates a level, evenly compacted coffee bed. When paired with proper puck distribution using a WDT tool or coffee distributor, tamping helps eliminate density inconsistencies that can lead to channeling, uneven extractions, and reduced flavor clarity. The result is a more balanced espresso with improved sweetness, body, and extraction consistency.
Built from anodized aluminum and precision-machined stainless steel, the Impulse Impact Tamper is engineered for long-term durability while maintaining a comfortable, ergonomic grip. Its self-leveling collar ensures every tamp remains perfectly flat, while the ultra-tight manufacturing tolerances keep the tamper aligned at a true 90° angle.
